An Interview with Zach Frazier an Artist Behind “Welcome to Soakie’s”

Zach Frazier and Nasir Montalvo are the creators of the streetcar stop artwork “Welcome to Soakie’s” which is a {B/qKC} installation. In the interview, Zach explains the meaning behind the work and its importance as an homage to the former sandwich shop Soakie’s located where the Power and Light District currently resides before becoming a popular Black queer nightclub from 1993 – 2004.
