Streetcar Summer Sounds Music Series Starts Thursday, June 6
As part of the 2019 Art in the Loop Project Make/Believe, the Kansas City Streetcar is hosting eight live musical performances on board the streetcars and at streetcar stops this summer. Music will range from folk, hip-hop, jazz, and soul to funk, country, indie, latin, and classical with original music and covers of popular songs performed by local artists!
The Streetcar Summer Sounds are performed on the Streetcar every Thursday evening, 5:00pm to 7:00 p.m. Specific Streetcar information will be announced on the KC Streetcar website (www.kcstreetcar.org) and social media sites.
“We are honored that the KC Streetcar is a ‘venue’ of choice for musicians. We are excited to once again be a conduit for local artists and musicians to share their talent with Kansas City,” said Donna Mandelbaum, communications director of the KC Streetcar Authority. “Our partnership with the Art in the Loop Foundation has helped us enhance the streetcar ridership experience in ways we didn’t even imagine,” Mandelbaum said.
