Improvisation Illogic
An evening of free improvisation with the students of the UMKC Summer Composition. Musicians will occupy the Prairie! Some musicians will provide a core “center” of the hive while others will migrate around the entire space, reacting to the audience, the wind, each other and any other devices our students choose to use (cell phones, boom boxes, etc.). Members return to the hive to deposit musical “pollen” that they have collected on their walkabout around the space.
Date and Location
The performance will be held on Thursday, June 23, 7 – 8:30 p.m. at Prairie Logic, an art installation on the Green Roof, a park on the 6th floor of the garage above Cosentino’s Grocery Store at 13th and Main Street. From Main Street, enter the building at the One Life Fitness sign and take the elevator to the 6th Floor.
